Aylin Cakiroglu

Aylin is a highly trained mathematician (German Diploma at TU Braunschweig, Germany, and PhD at QMUL) who has transitioned successfully to computational biology during my time at the Francis Crick Institute as a postdoc and Aylin works now as a senior scientist at BenevolentAI. Aylin’s research experience spans a broad range of areas: software development, combinatorics, graph theory, design and analysis of experiments, genomics, deep learning and health informatics.

Aylin has enjoyed working in interdisciplinary collaborations with experimental biologists and medical doctors. In addition to making biological discoveries, Aylin develops and apply new machine learning methods to biomedical data with an ambition to improve patients’ lives by advancing our knowledge of genotype-phenotype associations in the context of disease.
